Central Health is pleased to announce Sarah Malm has joined its staff as the Director of Communications.
Sarah is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in strategic communications, program management, and public affairs.
Prior to joining Central Health, Sarah developed and implemented communications, branding and business strategies for corporate and government clients. She was a managing director at Public Strategies Inc., where she managed campaigns for Fortune 50 companies. She also served as the chief communications officer for Americans Elect, a non-profit recognized for its innovative technology including the 2012 People?s Choice Award at SXSW Interactive, the nation?s leading technology conference.
Sarah has worked as a political and communications consultant in more than 25 countries. She served in Indonesia as a crisis communications officer at the U.S. Embassy, and later as the senior communications advisor to the U.S. Agency for International Development’s program supporting fiscal decentralization. She was a senior program officer with the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs, where she managed democracy and governance programs in Southeast Asia and Southern Africa. She also served as a political advisor to the Prime Minister of Cambodia, the Election Commissioner of Thailand and the Prime Minister of Malaysia.
Earlier in her career, Sarah worked as an investment advisor at a New York-based asset management firm. She started her career as a legislative assistant to U.S. Senator Paul Simon of Illinois, and is a veteran of several political campaigns. She has a BA in political science from Middlebury College and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
