Seton recently held its Future of Care Luncheon, hosting finalists among 85 companies competing for the first annual Innovation Awards. The competition mostly focused on linking healthcare information and efforts, but a wide range of promising work was in attendance.
Study: Texans favor Medicaid expansion

A new survey shows that more than 60 percent of Texans support expansion of Medicaid and intend to vote in accordance come November. Texas continues to lead the nation in the number of uninsured, and the choice to not expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act doesn’t appear to be popular anymore.
St. David’s expansion includes buying troubled Forest Park hospital

St. David’s HealthCare announced that it’s buying the Forest Park hospital that never opened in far North Austin. This purchase coincides with the expanding of two of its largest hospitals, and the planned opening of Leander’s first hospital.
